Before recommending surgery, your provider thoroughly examines your symptoms, condition, goals, and reproductive plans.
They inform you of the benefits and risks of minimally invasive surgery and empower you to make a fully informed decision.
What minimally invasive surgeries might I get?
Alliance Women's Health and Wellness, PC, offers several state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgeries. They include the following.
During a robotic hysterectomy, your provider removes your uterus (partial hysterectomy) or your uterus and cervix (total hysterectomy) with the assistance of robotic arms. They use instruments passed through small abdominal incisions. The magnified 3D view allows for excellent precision, flexibility, and control.
A robotic myomectomy can remove fibroids that are within your uterine wall or that project to the outside of your uterus. Your provider may recommend this if you have small fibroids or a limited number of them, as the procedure offers a targeted approach that makes them easier to extract.
Your provider may recommend robotic surgery for endometriosis if you have several lesions or adhesions or if they’re in challenging locations. They use robotic arms to control surgical tools with a high level of precision.
This procedure can remove ovarian cysts. Your provider may recommend a cystectomy if you have an ovarian cyst that grows in size, doesn’t go away, or causes pain.
During the procedure, your provider inserts a tiny camera with a light on the top (laparoscope) through a small incision in your abdomen. They can then view your reproductive and pelvic organs. Through two other small incisions, they insert surgical tools to remove an ovarian cyst.
